About the captain

Captain Brian Forman

For Captain Brian, the waters of Lake Michigan aren't just a destination — they're home. Coming from a lifelong charter family, Fish On Sport Fishing's foundation was built on the deck of his father's boat, a legacy that spans six decades of navigating these Great Lakes.

Today, Captain Brian is proudly carrying that torch forward, blending generations of maritime wisdom with a singular mission: the ultimate guest experience. While the fish and the views are the draw, the commitment to safety, comfort, and genuine hospitality is what brings people back. To Captain Brian, every guest isn't just a passenger — they're part of a tradition that celebrates the beauty and thrill of the lake.

What anglers say after a day out

5.0 average from 95 verified reviews on FishingBooker.

Captain Brett and first mate Brady had us into fish almost right away, with a strong bite for the first couple hours before things slowed down late morning, just like the captain predicted. Still went home with ten fish, nine of them king salmon.

Jeremy Nelson, Iowa — 8-hour AM charter

After years of tough trips elsewhere, this was finally the one where his son reeled in real fish. The crew had them on rainbow trout and king salmon all afternoon and sent them home with a cooler full and memories to match.

Jeff Stelk, Wisconsin — 5-hour PM charter

Captain Brian and mate Micah handled everything — gear, setup, technique — and kept adjusting until they found where the fish were holding. Friendly and professional the whole day, with a full cooler of salmon and trout to show for it.

James Jacobson — 8-hour AM charter
